<> I joined LIA few months ago; I came as a volunteer and still one.

My first impression at LIA was so different from how am experiencing it currently, I had less expectations regarding what was taking place at LIA i.e. I never expected computer lessons to be offered at the center. My perception of LIA was that, the center only deals in crafts and in general handwork. To my surprise I discovered it was more than that.

<>At LIA there is a variety of activities that are offered to the members to mention a few craft making, computer lessons, community activities and educational services, which I have found interesting and give members an opportunity to learn new skills that can be used to improve ones standards of living and also individual talent discovery. <>

Currently am learning INTERNET FOR CHANGE lessons, so far I like it because its an opportunity I didn’t expect since its even helping me learn much I didn’t know. I have a great teacher, who is good in what he does, that I have been able to learn Internet skills like, surfing, e-mailing, data entry and operating on a few Microsoft programs. <>

Am still learning a few things, like interaction and socializing with some of the community members the only problem am experiencing currently is that of language barrier. <>

All in all I have loved my stay here and am hoping for the best in my service to LIA, the community and during my stay here.

GOD BLESS.
